Terry Turner

Terry Turner.JPG

A fourth generation inhabitant of the Salish Sea Basin, Terry has a practical understanding of the importance of working harmoniously with the marine environment. After earning his degree in Environmental Planning at Western Washington University, he moved to Orcas Island where he has been a resident since 1982. His understanding of sustainably working alongside the Salish Sea is a reflection of his experience over the past 24 years in the Engineering Department at Orcas Power and Light Cooperative. Here he has worked in project management, environmental permitting, CAD drafting, right-of-way acquisition, and GIS work. Terry's past experience makes him a contributive member to the MRC, where he currently serves as MRC Chair.
