Pete Granger extensive knowledge and wealth of experience around commercial fishing and marine work in the Puget Sound has made him a contributive member of the Whatcom County MRC. His academic background includes a BS in Oceanography and an MBA in International Business from UW, which serves as a reflection of the exciting work he has been a part of. Some of Pete's more notable accomplishments include serving as Sales Director for Seafood Producers Cooperative in Bellingham, the Executive Director for several fisheries trade associations, and serving on the Board of the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association. Most recently, Pete stepped down as Program Leader in the Marine Advisory Services for the Washington Sea Grant Program, a professional staff position for the University of Washington.

Pete resides in Bellingham, WA, where he continues to partake in reef-net fishing near Lummi Island. His marine business background is one of his distinguishing features, and it is something he wishes to incorporate into working with the Whatcom MRC.
