Dana Oster is the marine program manager with the Northwest Straits Commission where she works to support locally-driven marine conservation efforts. She has a background in coastal geomorphology and nearshore oceanography. She earned a B.S. in Geology from Bates College, and a M.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia. Previously, Dana worked as an environmental consultant in Vancouver BC studying nearshore processes and water quality in fjords across Canada, the Caspian Sea, and Lake Tanganyika, and coastal processes in the Salish Sea. Dana joined the Northwest Straits Commission in 2018 and loves helping Marine Resources Committees take on local marine challenges and solutions!
