Ken Collins

Ken Collins, Island MRC representative to the Commission, is a technologist specializing in data and analytics. Although his career focused on integrating people, culture, and technology for effective information use, Ken is also an avid scientific diver and ecologist. His underwater interests include long-term subtidal monitoring and modeling of complex ecosystems. He has a particular affection for sea stars and lingcod communities in Island County. Beyond his marine activities, Ken is an avid recreational fisher, bird watcher, and aspiring mushroom hunter, embracing the diverse activities of the Northwest. Ken is a committed Island MRC member and collaborates on projects aimed at understanding, protecting, and restoring marine environments, seamlessly weaving together strategy and execution.
