Jeff Whitty is the Kelp Program Manager for the Northwest Straits Commission. In his position, Jeff coordinates the Puget Sound Kelp Conservation and Recovery Plan (Kelp Plan) and the Marine Resources Committees’ Floating Kelp Monitoring Program. Jeff earned his master’s degree in marine science from Murdoch University, and his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of San Diego. Jeff’s career has focused predominately on the research and conservation of imperiled species.
